Keep Children Safe

Supervision Supervise children closely by keeping all children in sight and using Child Supervision Records properly.

Health and Safety Keep your classroom clean and tidy. Be aware of your surroundings and take responsibility to report or fix unsafe conditions if you find them.

Positive Child Guidance Use only positive child guidance techniques to instruct children.

Licensing Familiarize yourself with and work within licensing regulations related to childcare in your location.
Create an Unrivaled Education Experience

Teaching Help implement primary curriculum in a way that is consistent to meet each child’s unique needs.

Assessments Share classroom observations with Teachers and Lead Teachers to help complete assessments.

Mandatory Meetings Attend Professional Development Days, center staff meetings, and any other meetings outside of your regular schedule that are required by your Center Director.

Work Hours Work hours may vary to meet the needs of the children in our care and the center. You may need to work more or fewer hours than originally scheduled.

Initiative After learning the job, you should be able to keep up on all your responsibilities without direct guidance. Anticipate classroom needs and follow through without prompting.

Classroom Assignment You may need to “float” between classrooms to cover lunches, breaks, or ratio changes, or your classroom assignment may change.

Other Duties Take on other center duties as needed to care for children, support your co-workers, and contribute to the center’s success
Skills, Education, and Experience:
Required
-
High School Diploma or equivalent
-
Must meet state’s education criteria
-
Speak, read, and write English/Mandarin fluently
-
CPR and 1st Aid Certifications, or willing to obtain

Basic technology skills (e.g. Excel, Word and email)
Preferred
-
Early childhood education experience
-
Have or willing to obtain Child Development Credential or Diploma/Degree in Early Childhood Education, Psychology, Drama, Music.
Work Environment/Physical Demands
-
Assistant Teachers must be able to adapt and excel in a continuously changing, fast-paced environment, and make the children’s needs their primary focus.

Assistant Teachers must be able to fully engage in physical activity. They must be able to kneel, stoop, sit on the floor, stand for a long time, and demonstrate and engage in activities like jumping, dancing, walking, and running.

The ability to lift up to 40 pounds is strongly desired and may be required to work in some classrooms or in the kitchen.

Work is primarily performed at the center. Daily outdoor work is required but work is otherwise indoors. Work is sometimes performed off site for field trips.

Assistant Teachers must be able to see and hear well enough to monitor classrooms and playgrounds to keep children safe at all times.

Assistant Teachers generally play a support role in the classroom, but may be alone in the classroom for short periods if state guidelines allow.
Salary:
Up-to RM $1800 (Full-time)

Post 2: Cook cum Center Housekeeper
The Center Housekeeper will perform a wide variety of custodial duties to provide a clean, orderly and safe environment; and perform related work as required.
Skills, Education, and Experience
Required

High School Diploma or equivalent.

Must have a minimum of one year of janitorial experience; OR, any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills, and abilities have been achieved.

Must pass a background check, have access to reliable transportation, and be able to pass random drug tests.
Job Responsibilities and Essential Functions
The Center Housekeeper will follow established procedures and guidelines when performing cleaning duties to ensure the center environment is clean and safe. The Center Housekeeper will perform cleaning duties such as cleaning classrooms, floors, restrooms, and hallways.
The Center Housekeeper will operate cleaning equipment (for example brooms, mops, vacuums, etc.) and use designated chemicals and other cleaning products safely and in accordance with instructions.
The Center Housekeeper may also required to help cook to prepare meals and at the meatime maintaining hygiene and quality of food during preparation along with the supervision of the cook.
The Center Housekeeper must be able to:

Work safely in an environment containing chemicals, cleaning materials, dust and noise.

Work as an assistant cook to prepare meals for children

Understand and carry out oral and written directions.

Transport products and equipment from room to room.
-
Vacuum and spot cleans carpets, floors, and furniture.

Clean, sanitize, and disinfect as instructed.
-
Gather and remove trash in accordance with established procedures.

Perform physical activities, such as, but not limited to, lifting heavy items (up to 50 lbs. unassisted), bending, standing, climbing, twisting, and walking.

Service, clean, and disinfect restrooms and facilities.
Salary:
Up-to RM $1600 (Full-time)
